Obtaining Matlab from WCAS
License Options: There are two different types of licenses available:
Concurrent: This is a license which is checked out from a license server
every time you start Matlab. This is the less expensive license, and
it gives you access to the most toolboxes. To use this type of license
your system needs to have a static IP address, and needs to be connected
to the campus network. The cost for this type of license is $60/year.
The license is good from September to September of the next year.
Group: This is a license which resides on your system, and does not
require a connection to the campus network. This license gives you access
to fewer toolboxes. With a group license only one user on the system
can be running Matlab at any one time. If you need to have multiple users
run Matlab simultaneously, then you need to buy multiple group or concurrent
licenses for that system. The cost for a group license is $105/year.
The license is good from September to September of the next year.
