Each year Weinberg College awards several prizes and honors to outstanding students. These include the following:
- Oliver Marcy Scholars - Presented to top juniors in the natural sciences
- James Alton James Scholars - Presented to top juniors in the social sciences
- Daniel Bonbright Scholars - Presented to top juniors in the humanities
- Freshman Seminar Writing Awards - For outstanding writing in Freshman Seminars
- Frank N. & Lee L. Corbin Prize - presented to an outstanding senior attending graduate or professional school
Opportunities to attend conferences on issues of public interest are available through the Johnson Foundation Wingspread Fellowship.
Funds for Undergraduate Research
The University, the College, and some departments and programs all offer funds for undergraduate research. These include funds to cover some research expenses, as well as stipends for students engaged in research during the summer months.
Many department and programs in Weinberg College offer awards recognizing outstanding scholarship, creativity, and research. Some of these prizes provide funding for research by undergraduate students. For more information, check with the individual departments and programs.
