Interested in studying abroad in Japan?  Come to our annual Study Abroad in Japan Information Session on Wednesday, October 22nd, 4:00 - 5:30PM in Louis Hall 226.

2014 Fall Major/Minor Fair

Come visit us at this year's major/minor fair and learn more about our new major approved this past spring. Fair takes place Thursday, September 18th, 1:00-4:00pm on the 2nd floor in Norris Center.

Why Study Asian Languages and Cultures?

Knowledge of an Asian language offers entry into rich and complex cultures that are both fascinating and thought provoking. Moreover, familiarity with an Asian language, history, and culture provides an informed perspective on parts of the world that are economically and politically important to everyone. Areas such as the sciences and engineering fields offer exchange opportunities where fluency in an Asian language becomes quite useful. By the same token, gaining an in-depth understanding of our own cultural traditions and origins in new and exciting ways.
