The Department of Art History frequently welcomes distinguished visiting faculty for a quarter or more. Recent resident scholar/teachers have included Andrew Hemingway (University College London), Georges Didi-Huberman (École des Hautes Études, Paris), Patricia Simons (University of Michigan), Lisa Tickner (Middlesex University), Fred Orton (University of Leeds), Annie Coombes (Birkbeck College, London), and Régis Michel (Louvre Museum, Paris). Serge Guilbaut (U. of British Columbia) and Richard Wollheim (UC Berkeley) taught in the Department in 2003. Michael Ann Holly (Clark Art Institute; Williams College), James Meyer (Emory), Keith Moxey (Barnard and Columbia), taught in the Department in 2004-2005. Carol Armstrong (Princeton University), Susan Huntington (Ohio State University), and Georges Didi-Huberman (École des Hautes Études, Paris) taught in the department 2005-2006.
