Terra Foundation Post-Doctoral Fellow in American Art 1600-1950

The Department of Art History seeks to appoint a Terra Foundation Post-Doctoral Fellow in American Art 1600-1950, commencing Fall 2010.  The term of the Fellowship is three years (2010-2013). Applicants must have received their Ph.D. in or after 2007 in order to be eligible. Fellows must have completed all the requirements for the Ph.D. before the start date.  The Terra Fellow will teach three courses per year: one undergraduate-level survey course in American Art prior to 1950, one upper-level undergraduate lecture course on historical American art, and one graduate seminar per year.

Applicants are asked to submit a cover letter including a statement of research program and teaching interests, CV, the dissertation manuscript (as well as any publications), and the names of three references. Assistant Professor in Medieval/Byzantine Art


The Department of Art History seeks to make a full-time, tenure-track appointment (Assistant Professor) in medieval or Byzantine art and architecture (specialists in Late Antique or Medieval Islamic art are also encouraged to apply), commencing fall 2010.  S/he will teach and advise at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and will advise Ph.D. students.  All requirements for the Ph.D. must be completed by the time of appointment; a record of publications and teaching commensurate with the applicant’s rank are expected.
