Applying to Chicago Field Studies ConcentrationsFull time CFS concentrations are open to juniors and seniors in all Northwestern schools and majors. Students applying for summer programs must have completed their sophomore year by the beginning of the program. CFS summer concentrations are also open to students who attend other colleges and universities. Part time concentrations are open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors in all Northwestern schools and majors. Applications will be accepted after an application period closes only if there is space in the concentration to which the student wishes to apply. Additional application materials may be required. Please contact cfs@northwestern.edu to inquire if your late application would be accepted. Please note that we will not accept applications prior to the open of the application period. CFS INFORMATION SESSIONSALL applicants are required to attend a CFS Information Session before submitting an application. We recommend that you attend a session well before the close of the application period since it will help you better understand the program and plan ahead so that you have room in your schedule to devote a quarter to CFS. Sessions run approximately 30 - 45 minutes. Freshmen are welcome! If you are unable to attend any of these meetings, please contact the CFS office at 847-467-0605. IMPORTANT: If you are going to be abroad when you will need to apply for CFS, you should attend an information session BEFORE YOU GO ABROAD! If you do not, you will be required to do one by phone. Contact cfs@northwestern.edu for more information. Upcoming General Group Information Sessions: All concentrations are discussed in general information sessions. Please note that information sessions in red italics will take place in a location other than the 1813 Hinman Ave Seminar Room Information sessions are approximately an hour in length and start on time. If you are unable to attend a group session or would like to schedule a one-on-one session, please call 847-467-0605 to set up an information session meeting with Kisa. If there is no answer, please leave a message with your name and phone number, and she will return your call as soon as possible. Meetings are scheduled Monday - Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM.
