Application Process

If you are interested in participating in the environmental field school, you should meet with Professor Paul Friesema, Professor Brad Sageman, or Dr. Patricia Beddows and attend the information session (a date will be announced soon).

Applications are due on February 20 2011. To apply, please submit:

  1. An informal transcript.                                                                      
  2. A resume, including your major, minor, year at Northwestern, all relevant coursework, and the name and contact information of someone (ideally someone on campus) who knows you quite well and can serve as a reference.
  3. A 1 -2 page long essay describing your background and your purposes for wanting this opportunity.

The material should be sent to Victoria Schiffman in two files- one with the transcript, and the other - a Word file (either .doc or .docx) titled with your last name, containing your resume and the essay. An edited version of the application material may subsequently be sent on to park decision makers as a placement is negotiated.
