Distribution Requirement Guidelines
At the time a new course is proposed to the Curricular Review Committee for permanent inclusion in a department or program’s curriculum, approval as a course fulfilling a distribution requirement (or more than one) can also be requested. See New Course Proposals, item #11.
Departments and programs may ask that any course fulfill a distribution requirement, or more than one, except for freshman seminars, foreign-language courses through the intermediate level, topics courses, and professional linkage seminars. The following sites contain the most up-to-date information about distribution requirements in Weinberg, including important new policy changes that have gone into effect, such as allowing 300-level courses to count, and expanding Area V.
