The Ethnographic Field School is a joint project of the Department of Anthropology, Northwestern University and The Center for Cultural Understanding and Change, The Field Museum.

The Ethnographic Field School is now in Chicago! During this eight week program, you will receive intensive, personalized training in ethnographic and other research methods, and move through the research process, from design to implementation, to analysis and presentation of results. You will benefit from supervision with experts in the field, experience Chicago's great cultural diversity while you explore its neighborhoods and ethnic communities, and earn one, two or three course credits.

The Ethnographic Field School is open to undergraduates, recent graduates, and graduate students in all departments. There are no prerequisites but permission of the instructor is required.
