Dr. Mortensen's main scholarly work concerns an Aramaic translation of the Hebrew Pentateuch, on which she recently published The Priesthood in Targum Pseudo-Jonathan: Renewing the Profession (2006). She edits a twice yearly bibliography of publications on targums and/or the Aramaic language and its derivatives. Her studies and NU courses in Hebrew Bible range from Pentateuch to the Dead Sea Scrolls.
