Bienvenidos/Bemvindo!

Welcome to Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Northwestern.

The Program in Latin American and Caribbean Studies allows students to pursue a coherent interdisciplinary course of study on this region of the world, including courses offering a variety of perspectives: social, historical, linguistic, political, and cultural. The program requires a set of core courses and also offers a series of elective courses in several different departments. Students are encouraged to study in a Latin American or Caribbean country through the programs offered by the Study Abroad Office or to get to know the Latin American and Caribbean communities of Chicago through coursework or the Chicago Field Studies Internship Program.
