For 2007-2008, LACS will offer:
LACS Undergraduate Research Grants
LACS invites undergraduates interested in conducting research in Latin America or the Caribbean to apply for our Summer Travel Grants for 2008. The proposal should explain the objective of the proposed study, argue for its importance, detail where and how it will be conducted, explain what steps have been taken to make contacts in the country where the research will take place, and show the project's role in the applicant's plan of study and future goals.
-
A budget, detailing total expenses.
-
One letter of recommendation from a faculty advisor who agrees to supervise the project.
-
A complete transcript.
Complete applications should be turned in by 3:30 pm on March 3, 2008 to Sarah Jo Mayson, Program Assistant, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, Crowe Hall Room 1-141, 1860 Campus Drive, tel. 847-491-4793.
