Research
Each student obtains substantial research experience under the direction of a faculty adviser. In the first year, the students will have at least two different research experiences involving fundamental laboratory techniques. This work should lead to an experimental project that may blossom into a Master's thesis. The BBC faculty adviser should approve a proposal for the Master’s thesis no later than the beginning of the student's second year in graduate school.
