Advisers

All students are assigned to an adviser upon admission. The adviser has the responsibility of directing the student on programs of study and acting as a general mentor in learning the art of scientific research. Students are expected to work within their adviser's main research area, but are also encouraged to develop their own independent lines of research. Students are also encouraged to work with other faculty members both within and without the social area.
