Application
The social area accepts between 1 and 5 new graduate students each year. Competition for these slots is intense. Successful applicants normally have completed a four-year Bachelor's degree with a GPA at or above 3.2, have at least some research experience, and have achieved GRE scores at or above the 80th percentile. Although applicants to the program are typically expected to have completed undergraduate coursework in social psychology, exceptional candidates from diverse educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The departmental deadline for applications to graduate school is December 1. Admission decisions are completed in April for enrollment the following September.
