Undergraduate Psychology Association (UPA)

The Undergraduate Psychology Association (UPA) is a group of students who share an interest in psychology. Many, though not all, members of the UPA are majoring or minoring in psychology. UPA sponsors academic as well as social events during the school year. Our primary goals are to help undergraduates learn more about the exciting field of psychology and foster student-faculty relations outside the classroom. In recent years, the UPA has organized panels on graduate study in psychology and related fields, presented speakers on job opportunities for psychology majors, and sponsored presentations on new developments in psychology. Past programming has also included "Lunch with a Prof," in which Northwestern faculty members chat with students about their own research. Members have also gathered to watch popular movies with psychological themes (ala A Beautiful Mind, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).

Information on UPA events appears in our undergraduate newsletter, Swift Thinking, or you can visit our official Facebook page (NU Undergraduate Psychology Association). If you would like to be added to our list serve to stay up to date on all things psychology at NU, simply send an e-mail to upa.northwestern@gmail.com
