Undergraduate Psychology Association (UPA)
The Undergraduate Psychology Association (UPA) is a group of students who share an interest in psychology. Many, though not all, members of the UPA are majoring or minoring in psychology. UPA sponsors academic as well as social events during the school year, with the goals of helping undergraduates learn more about the exciting field of psychology and of fostering student-faculty relations outside the classroom. In recent years, the UPA has organized panels on graduate study in psychology and related fields, presented speakers on job opportunities for psychology majors, and sponsored presentations on new developments in psychology, including informal "Coffees with a Prof," in which Northwestern Faculty members chat with students about their own research. Members have also gathered to watch popular movies with psychological themes and have also challenged the psychology graduate students in softball.
Information on UPA events appears in our undergraduate newsletter, Swift Thinking, or visit the UPA site.
