Updating with Dreamweaver
Users of Dreamweaver MX 2004 and Dreamweaver 8 (and above) can use Dreamweaver to both update and upload/download files. Users of older versions of Dreamweaver (MX, 4 and below) should upgrade or consult SFTP for Windows or SFTP for Macintosh to upload pages.
See Web Site Concepts and Definitions for an overview of updating pages on the web.

If you're the only person maintianing the site and this is the only computer you make edits from, you don't have to download before editing.
- Highlight the page you want to edit
- Click the green down arrow (Get), pictured below
- If Dreamweaver asks if you would like to "Get dependent files," answer No.
- Once the file is downloaded, double click it to begin editing
