On my way to the University of Chicago

The following are pictures taken by me of the University of Chicago campus. The buildings are older, many (like those above) are Gothic in architectural style.
What's interesting about UChicago is that even though it costs almost 50,000 dollars per year to attend, walk a few blocks outside or drive around and one might find himself in some of Chicago's harsher areas. Unlike Northwestern University, which is located in the upper-class suburb, Evanston, UChicago is located right in the middle of some poorer parts of Chicago.

Starbucks is a huge coffee cafe chain around the United States and internationally. While sometimes criticized for its business practices, it's hard to avoid them, as they (serving their rather expensive cups of coffee) pop up even in poorer areas.
